#CroakeyGO is an innovation in public interest journalism developed by the Croakey team. It is walking journalism – where we bring people together to walk and talk in a particular place about health-related matters, and to collaboratively produce social media and other editorial content.
#CroakeyGO is also a platform that profiles the voices and expertise of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of caring for country.
This link compiles coverage from #CroakeyGO events that have been held in rural, remote and metropolitan areas across Australia, covering issues such as mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, colonisation, and public health.
In November 2018, cohealth sponsored #CroakeyGO #VicVotes, which enabled in-depth coverage of key health issues ahead of the Victorian election, and brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, with a focus on the history of community health.
In August 2019, the North Western Melbourne PHN sponsored #CroakeyGO #NavigatingHealth that provided a platform for discussions about the experiences of mental health patients.
We welcome applications from organisations and individuals interested in sponsoring a #CroakeyGO on a topic that aligns with the Croakey mission.
